1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of services provided by Michael Kent Hairdressing Ltd, a private, appointment-only hair studio based in London. By booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Appointments & Booking
- —All appointments are booked directly with Michael Kent and are subject to availability.
- —Bookings are confirmed only once you have received written confirmation (via email or direct message).
- —Appointments are strictly private and one-to-one. Please do not bring additional guests unless agreed in advance.
- —A consultation may be required prior to certain colour or treatment services. This will be discussed at the time of booking.
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- —We ask for a minimum of 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- —Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the booked service value.
- —Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or no-shows, may be charged 100% of the booked service value.
- —In the event that Michael Kent is required to cancel, you will be notified as early as possible and offered a full rescheduling without charge.
4. Late Arrivals
- —Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment.
- —Late arrivals may result in a reduced service time out of respect for the private studio schedule.
- —If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, we reserve the right to treat the appointment as a no-show.
- —If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible.
5. Pricing & Payment
- —All services are charged at £100 per hour, billed to the nearest 15 minutes.
- —A detailed quote or estimated duration will be provided at the time of booking or consultation.
- —Payment is due on the day of your appointment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- —Prices are inclusive of all materials and products used during your service unless otherwise stated.
6. Retail Products
- —Product sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item is faulty or damaged upon receipt.
- —If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of purchase.
7. Health, Safety & Suitability
- —Please inform us of any allergies, medical conditions, scalp sensitivities, or previous adverse reactions to hair products prior to your appointment.
- —A patch test may be required at least 48 hours before certain colour services.
- —We reserve the right to decline or adjust a service if it would be harmful or unsuitable for your hair or scalp condition.
- —Michael Kent Hairdressing Ltd accepts no liability for reactions arising from undisclosed allergies or medical conditions.
8. Results & Expectations
- —Hair results may vary depending on existing hair condition, colour history, and individual hair characteristics.
- —During your consultation, we will advise on realistic outcomes for your hair type and history.
- —If you have any concerns about your service, please raise them before leaving the appointment, or contact us within 48 hours.
- —Adjustments will be considered within 7 days of the original appointment where a genuine technical issue has been identified.
9. Photography & Media
- —We may photograph or record work carried out during your appointment for portfolio, editorial, or social media purposes.
- —We will always seek your explicit consent before sharing any images in which you are identifiable.
- —You retain the right to withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
- —Michael Kent Hairdressing Ltd is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- —We collect and use your personal information solely for managing appointments and communicating with you.
- —We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability
- —To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the service provided.
- —We accept no liability for any indirect, consequential, or special losses.
12. Governing Law
- —These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- —Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
